What’s Happening Down on the Farm

Hi Everyone,
A couple of things before we get started on some new items on the ordering menu.  Some customers had some altercations with the two chicken gangs, the Beaks and the Doodles,  that seem to be involved in a turf battle currently.  No matter how many times I say to just keep moving slowly and they will get out of the way, many drivers get nervous when they lose site of a feathered marauder and feel the need to get out of their cars and attempt to chase chickens out of the road.  I am planning to install a farm lane camera this fall in hopes of downloading some hilarious action.  One of our customers told me it’s not bad with just one errant chicken, but she said there’s,”a whole gang up there)!  I found a massive whole in the fence this morning and believe that’s where the jailbreak has been occurring.  We will see if fixing that will help, so you drivers won’t have to continue evasive maneuvers coming to the farm.
Some of you may know the name Pond View Farm, it’s a beautiful wedding venue and working farm in northern Harford County.  Shane and Jackie have started to produce broiler chickens on the farm and since we can’t seem to keep ours in stock, we have added some of their Pond View Farm chicken to the menu.  It’s not Chicken of the Sea, but we now have Salmon from the Sea.  Check out our new offerings from “Wild for Salmon”. Wild caught, flash frozen fish from Alaska.
Now that we find ourselves in full fledge fall and apple season, we were a bit disappointed that the most popular apple of all time, the delicious Honey Crisp was done for the year. However, we surprisingly found a secret stash at Three Springs Fruit Farm in Aspers,Pa.  So, the Honey Crisps are back!  The little known Holiday apple we found at Shaw’s Orchards proved to be quite a hit. I believe my description of the apple being “Snappy” helped to solidify it’s impressive #2 most popular ranking here at the farm.
One of our main goals for our online menu is to have a great variety so it can be a one stop shop for you.  If there is anything else you would like to see on the menu, please let us know and we will do our best to add it.

Remember online ordering begins Tuesday morning at 9a and ends Wednesday night at 10p.  Rousedalefarm.com is where you’ll find the land of great food!
