What’s Happening Down on the Farm

Hi Everyone,

Well, it’s official, I’ve made it to the list of the top 10 worst delivery drivers in America!  What an honor!  If there’s one thing I’ve figured out during the last 2 months is that I am a horrible delivery person.  My largest “problem area” seems to be the plants.  I get the right plant, normally…however, I don’t check the number of a certain kind of plant to deliver.  I’m kind of stuck on the number one.  If a customer has ordered 3 of something, I’ll saunter up to the front door, all confident with the order sheet in hand, looking very studious looking over the order and promptly deliver 1!  I don’t get it!  After a couple of debacles yesterday, I enrolled in a 12 step program for delivery people last night.  The program, “Delivery Dopes” has helped folks all over the world!  I’m sure if I stick with it, the program will help me to focus better on quantities.  One side note, is there any way to change the name of a plant?  I mean, “bread seed poppy” sure sounds like a loaf of bread to me, not a plant.  Anyway, Mollie in Timonium, stay with me.  Diane in Norrisville, don’t give up and Sally in Fallston, I swear the 5 looked like a 3.
We welcome “Dimitri Extra Virgin Olive Oil” to our list of farms this week.  From their 200 year old family farms in Southern Greece to you. The Salty breeze of the Mediterranean along with their unfiltered process guarantees the purest olive oil you have ever tasted.  Give it a try this week!  Dimitri and his family actually live in Baltimore and soon Baltimore County.  With trips back and forth to Greece he keeps both ends of the business rolling. Their story on their website is a great read!
Remember, even though the ordering site is open before 9a Tuesday morning, we are unable to get our inventory numbers until 9. So, it’s highly likely that if you jump the gun, many of our items are not even available.  So PLEASE wait until 9am to start ordering.  If we could fix it we would.  Also a reminder on pick up times, Saturday 3-8 and Sunday 12-6.  We had someone show up at 11a Saturday morning.  That was an awfully long 4 hours for him following chickens around.
We have made some changes to our delivery routes so, if you had been a Sunday delivery you may be a Saturday delivery now.
