Hi Farm Friends!
Over a year ago we all found ourselves in a weird situation. Many of us were uneasy going to the grocery store and, if we went, we found many shelves bare. We thought,”How can we get food to people in a safe manor and involve our local farms?” Vicky took the idea and ran with it, creating the “Rousedale Farm Virtual Farmer’s Market”. It really took off, to say the least, and continues to grow today. It has become nearly to large for us to handle. Even with our wonderful helpers, the stress and strain have become a bit too much. Especially with our farm season beginning, all of it simply may be just unmanageable. I’m afraid we may find ourselves stumbling off into the woods and never coming back!
So today, Easter Sunday, we finally had time to sit down and discuss, and have decided to suspend the online ordering effective immediately while we reassess. We kind of feel we achieved what we set out to achieve and now that things (hopefully) will start to get better, we can turn our full attention back to farming. The farm continues on with our farm market open now 10-6 on Saturdays with expanded hours as we get deeper into the season. We certainly hope you will come and see us at the market during this time of scratching our heads. I will continue to send you emails to let you know what is available each week.
We can’t say enough about all of you who have supported us and all the farms through this venture. It really has been unbelievable! We will keep you posted. Meanwhile, see you soon down on the farm.
