On the tomato front… a few heirlooms but mostly Big Beef tomatoes in the market this week. Our price is $2.99 a pound or 10 pounds for $15 or 25 pounds for $25. We can a make a deal in the next couple of days on seconds. We have 125 pounds of seconds right this moment. The paste tomatoes are coming in as well and we have a bunch. Don’t be one of those disappointed cooks that will come to the market in a few weeks to get tomatoes, so you can freeze or can them only to be told by me that, “You’re too late! You should have listened to me weeks ago and now you got no tomatoes except the crappy ones from the grocery store! It’s your own fault. I begged you to come before so you could put up great tasting tomatoes and now you blew it!” Or something like that.
We have a pork special and they’re two of my favorites. Our local Crooked Creek Farm hot italian large link sausage and chorizo large links, regular $8/pound now $6.50/pound.
