Hi Everyone,
Things are shaping up for our meet and greet at the farm this Saturday morning from 9-noon.
Brittany from Flying Plow Farm in Rising Sun will join us to share information on their 2020 CSA and the a- la-carte option of ordering from their website and picking up your orders here. She will offer a savings to you if you sign up for one of their CSA programs Saturday. Fresh produce will be available to purchase as well..  You will notice upon meeting Brittany that she will seemingly appear to be stealing a pumpkin under her shirt, she instead is carrying a little future farmer.
Mike and/or Tiffany from Crooked Creek Farm in Pylesville will not only be here to give you info on their pork CSA and sign you up, but also offer free samples of their delicious pork BBQ. They are bringing their freezer trailer full of their great variety of pork products to purchase as well.
Something new for our market this year is Chesapeake Gold Cheese from the Miller dairy farm in North East, MD.  Bob Miller, the head honcho of the farm, that has been in the Miller family for 6 generations, will be here with free samples of their large variety of cheeses.  This cheese is really good!  We had a sample when Bob was at Flying Plow farm and I think my exact quote was,”Wow, now this cheese tastes like something!”  The cider cheese is my personal favorite.
We are happy to announce that once again this year our market will open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-6 Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day full of produce, meats, eggs, flowers, honey etc.  Hosted by your delightful shopkeeper….me.
Saturday we’ll all be here to answer any questions, sign you up and sell you some produce, pork and cheese.  Plus get this, along with the pork BBQ and cheese samples, we will have free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Doesn’t hot chocolate go with BBQ? Will it be to early for beer?  Does hot chocolate go with cheese?  Will it be to early for wine?
So, it’s going to be a fun morning and we hope you’ll stop by.  It may not feel like spring Saturday morning, but it’s not far away now!

Vicky & Steve
